Mission Statement::

To provide our students with the best quality gymnastics, tumbling and cheerleading instruction. To help children, teens and young adults in developing physical skills such as co-ordination, balance, agility and strength.  To foster a sense of well being and accomplishment and to afford each student the opportunity to reach his or her full potential.

Meet our Staff

GymSouth strives to offer our students the best instruction available.  Our staff is very well trained and experienced.

Cherry Robbins, Owner

Cherry has taught gymnastics for over 25 years in Vicksburg, Oxford, MS and Charleston, SC.  She has a BS in Physical Education from the College of Charleston.  She has served as Recreation Director for Christian Acres Boys Group Home as well as on the Recreation Staff at All Saints Episcopal School.  She was a competitive gymanst and WC High School Cheerleader.  Cherry is a USAG Professional Member and Safety Certified through USAG.

Mandie Stevens, Competitive Team Coach

Mandie has taught gymnastics for over 13 years in Memphis, TN, Greenville, MS and Vicksburg.  She has a BBA in Finance from The University of Memphis.  She was a Level 10 Competitive Gymnast and cheered at Houston High School in Germantown, TN, who placed 1st at Nationals in 1994.  She also cheered for the University of Memphis for 4 years.  Mandie is a USAG Professional Member and Safety Certified through USAG.

Rebecca Flanagan, Competitive and Recreational Gymanstics Coach

Rebecca has taught gymnastics, tumbling and cheerleading at GymSouth for over 7 years.  She has a BA in Education from the University of Mississippi.  She currently teaches 3rd grade at VIS.  She is a former VHS Cheerleader.

Jessica Henderson - Head Cheer Coach

Jessica has taught Cheerleading for 5 years both in Indiana and Mississippi.  She has coached several high school and middle school squads.  Jessica was Head Coach for the MS Heat all star squad in 2010-2011.  She also has 10 years of trained dance experience and is AACCA Safety Certified and Red Cross/First Aid Certified.

Kamen Wells - Head Cheer Coach/Tumbling and Gymnastics Coach

Kamen is a May 2011 graduate of the University of Mississippi with a BA in Business.  He has coached tumbling and cheerleading in various capacities over the past 4 years.  He cheered for the University of Mississippi for 4 years as well as at VHS.

LeMichal Drake - Tumbling Coach

LeMichal is a May 2011 Graduate of USM with a degree in Exercise Physiology.  He cheered on the college level at USM and MSU.  He has coached cheerleading and tumbling over the past 4 years.  He also cheered at VHS.

Tiffany Patel - Long time gymnastics and cheer coach from Texas.  We are happy to have her on staff teaching preschool, beginner and advanced gymanstics classes as well as tumbling.

Who We Are

GymSouth is a USAG Member Club and has been for 9 years.

Our competitive coaching staff is USAG Safety Certified.

We are currently working on our certification for All Star Cheerleading.
