DEVELOPMENTAL/RECREATIONAL
GYMNASTICS
Mom and Tot - (2 year olds, 30 minute class, $45.00/month) This class teaches children to
become comfortable with our gym and staff. Our staff will work with the parent to teach basic
gymnastics skills. This class is lots of fun!
Pre-School - (3-5 year olds, 45 minute class, $50.00/month) Kiddos will learn the very basic skills
of gymnastics on equipment sized just for them. As they build up to full size equipment emphasis
will be placed on body position, balance, large motor skills development, co-ordination and lots of
fun.
Beginner - (grades K-6, 1 hour class, $55.00/month) Full sized equipment will be used. This class
is perfect for any gymnast to be. Developmental skills will be taught on floor exercise, vault,
balance and uneven parallel bars. Emphasis will be placed on co-ordination, balance, building
strength, and goal achievement
GymCats - (K-6, 1 1/2 hour class, $75/month) This is an intermediate class for those students that
have mastered Beginner class skills but are not quite ready for the rigorous workout of Flip
Floppers.
Flip Floppers - (grades 1 & up, 2-1.25 hour classes per week, $115.00/month) Skill evaluation by
staff will determine eligibility for class participation. By invitation only.
COMPETITIVE TRACK GYMNASTICS
(By invitation only)
Kangas - (4 and 5 year olds, 2-1 hour classes per week, $100/month) This class is
comprised of 4 and 5 year olds that show the ability to move into competitive gymnastics.
Hoppers - (6 year olds, 2 - 1 1/2 hour classes per week $125 per month) This class is comprised of
6 year olds that show the ability to move into competitive gymnastics.
Pre-Team - (2-1.5 hour classes each week. $125/month) This class teaches skills for Level 2
Compulsory routines.
Level 3 - This class teaches and perfects the skill and routines for Level 3 Competition
Level 4 - This class teaches and perfects the skills and routines for Level 4 Competition
Level 5 - This class teaches and perfects the skills and routines for Level 5 Competition
Prep-Op (Gold, Platinum) - This class gives our upper level athletes a chance to create their own
routines. Prep-Ops are usually athletes that are 'in between' Level 5-6, or 6-7.
TUMBLING
Tumbling - (grades K-6, 1 hour class, $55.00 per month) All tumbling class will be gymnastics
based. Each participant will start will forward and backward rolls and progress to handstands.
Walk-overs (backward and forward), cartwheels, round-offs, and handsprings will also lead to a
great foundation for our "power" tumbling classes. Emphasis will be placed on body stabilization,
large muscle awareness and strengthening, co-ordination, and goal setting and achievement.
Power Tumbling - (grades K-up, 1 hour class, $55.00 month) Pre-requisites for this class are as
follows: bridge-u with kick-over (w/out a spot), back-walkover (w/out a spot), and running roundoff.
Skill evaluation by staff will determine eligibility for class participation. Emphasis will be placed on
running tumbling, muscle refinement, strength and conditioning, and goal setting and achievement.
The Tumbling and Power Tumbling classes will meet at the same time. Students will be placed in
groups according to ability.
CHEERLEADING
GymStars Pee Wee Cheer - (grades 1st-5th, 1 hour class, $55.00/month) Young hopefuls will
learn the concept of teamwork, cheer jumps, motions, very basic tumbling, and dancing. Emphasis
will be placed on working together, large motor skill refinement, and goal setting and achievement.
Cheerleading (Tryout Prep) 1 1/2 hour class $75/month This class is to build a strong
foundation for the concept of cheerleading. Emphasis will be placed on motions, voice, jumps, and
team building exercises. Basic and Power Tumbling will be taught in this class. In the spring
emphasis will be placed on how to perform a run out, personality, jump refinement, and showing
team spirit.
